GMGI-OFW Kuwait Chapter celebrates 4th founding anniversary by helping cancer patients

Two brothers shake hands as a sign of their brotherhood and the two lovely and friendly sisters from "OFW Sharing Love Foundation".
The Guardian Magic Group International (GMGI)-OFW Kuwait Chapter was commemorating their 4th Founding Anniversary with the "Tugtugan Alay Para Kay Kabayan" a musicale night, which was held on 4th December 2015 at the E'lysses Hotel, Salmiya, State of Kuwait.

This memorable event was graced by GMGI members, guests and sponsors; Filinvest, AIM Global, AJWAA Travels, IFFCO and OFW Sharing Love Foundation and other groups.

The event was opened by a solemn prayer led by Pastor Rico Francisco and followed by the singing of Kuwait and Philippine national anthem.

When I entered the venue, I was surprise to see Mrs. Amelita Oclarit Addun's photograph on the projector screen. I'm not expecting her being part of the program. I have known her having an ovarian cancer. Tabang Pinoy recommended Mrs. Addun to GMGI to be its beneficiary through Ms. Leah Francisco -- GMGI finance officer.

During the entire evening, I witnessed the true spirit of unity and camaraderie among its members (Brotherhood and Sisterhood are so evident among themselves). It was so touching and inspiring knowing that they are doing their best to help other people's lives, particularly to those who are suffering from cancer disease.

I just hope and pray for the immediate healing and recovery for Ms. Addun from cancer through the altruistic help and support from GMGI family and to those who have a good heart to support and share their blessings.

Several months ago, one of Ms. Addun's relatives approached Tabang Pinoy for help. And, we in Tabang Pinoy were able to extend her a small amount of money, according to our capacity. We knew that the amount is not enough to cover the expenses incurred considering the chemo procedures. It is so sad to think, aside from suffering cancer, she has also child with special needs and unable to walk.

This photo made me emotional during the event, Mrs Amelita Oclarit Arrun-Ovarian Cancer
Philippine Embassy in Kuwait Consul General Atty. Raul Dado was the guest speaker. He delivered a short but inspiring and encouraging message to everyone.

"There are no questions about who is running the show or running the group its all about what's in the heart of each member. He believes that every group of GMGI na sila po ay may pusong matulungin at mapagkumbaba at handang magmahal sa kapwa.
It's not being loyal to the guy running the group, don't be loyal to a guy only. Be loyal to the group, be loyal to what the group want's to do, be loyal to the group Vision and Mission. Be loyal to your tattoo instated on your right shoulder, Mabuhay GMGI!" says Mr. Ace Vincent Dapitilla, GMGI- OFW Kuwait chapter adviser.

The event ended successfully and the amount raised during the night will surely go a long way in helping the needy and the cancer patients.

To the GMGI-OFW Kuwait Chapter, kudos for making it very memorable to everyone and More Power!!!
