The Real Life of Hongkong OFWs.

June 18-21, 2015 my family and I traveled to Hongkong to visit Disneyland. One day when we went to the City "Central of Hongkong or Hongkong Hongkong"

It was Saturday and I believed it was a  Holiday for Hongkong. I felt so sad when I saw Filipinos, sleeping on the ground using the cartoon box just to spend their day off with friends and relatives. It was so hot at that time. I did not understand my feeling because I never expect that this is the life of our OFW in Hongkong. WE cannot imagine nakaupo sa floor, while others are sleeping. When I saw them, Hindi ko Maintindihan yong feeling ko, palagi nasa isip ko habang nag lalakad is " why" bakit ganito? Noong bata pa ako naiingit pa ako sa mga kaibigan,kapitbahay at ka relatives ko na mama nila ofw kasi sosyal at bongga sila. Hindi ko akalain na ganito pala ang buhay nila pag day off or holiday.

ONE friend of said that during the day off or holiday the government of Hongkong is giving a space for the sake of those people who want to take rest during their day off.

To the FAMILY, of those Filipinos who are working OFW in Hongkong. Hope you can realized and understand them. If they want to communicate you, to please give them time to talk even during their day off because I really believed once they can talk to their family they can release the stress from their work. Kaya pag bigyan niyo sila pag gusto kayo nilang kausapin kasi isa din yon sa kaligayahan nila na hindi mababayaran. pag makausap or makikita kayo.

To the CHILDREN, try to imagine if one of your mother was their, nasa ground lang sila, nakasapin lang ng box cartoon, para lang makapag pahinga, yong iba nag mamanicure para lang makadagdag ng income. At alam kung ginawa nila ito para makatipid, makadagdag ng kita para makapagpadala sa inyo pambayad ng tuition fees ninyo. Kaya mag-aral kayong mabuti. Mag isip isip kung gaano ka hirap ang buhay nila doon. Isa lang ang gusto nilang mangyayari makapagtapos kayo sa pag-aaral.

To the HUSBAND, Alam kung mahirap maiwan dito sa pilipinas na maging taga alaga sa mga anak ninyo.Pero mas mahirap ang ginagawa ng mga Asawa ninyo sa Hongkong. Kaya dapat palagi mo silang intidihin. Hindi Malaki ang sahod nila doon. Pagkasyahin niyo nalang kung magkano lang maipadala sa inyo. Wag ninyong pilitin na makapagpadala sila ng Malaki sa inyo, wag ninyo pilitin na umutang sila sa banko para lang sa mga " WANTS" hindi "NEEDS".

To OFW in HONGKONG, I advice na magpakatotoo kayo, tell your family na ganito lang kita ninyo. This is just a reminder nalang po sa iba, You have to save for your future. Like saving for your Emergency fund, retirement plan. Then try to attend a free seminar for financial literacy. It is not too late to start now. Late is better that nothing. Last week my wife and I went to BDO, we ask about their Easy Investment Plan or EIP. It is easy you can invest by PHP 1,000.00 per month only. So as OFW you can do it. But before that focus your self first to create and Emergency fund.. save para sa " TAG-INIT"daw yan ang sabi nila palagi...Emergency will come at any time kaya we have to prepare and always ready. Even my mentor in OFSI, Mr Renz always reminding us that creating and Emergency fund is most important.
